Louise was educated in the Trenton Public School District. She was self-employed as a seamstress for many years. Louise had a passion for sewing and you could easily find her behind her sewing machine tapering pants or hemming skirts. She worked as Manager of the Trenton Hosiery Company, on the Trenton Commons, at Bernard's Cleaners, and as a Daycare Assistant at the Macedonia Baptist Church. The kids loved Louise and she loved them dearly as well.
Louise was a lifelong member of Macedonia Baptist Church located in Trenton serving under the leadership of Reverend Keith A. Marshall, Pastor. Louise was a proud Christian and was very
passionate about God's word. She was a faithful and devoted Sunday School attendee. If for some reason transportation was not available, Louise would catch a cab to church. As a young adult, she was a member of the Senior Choir and the James Killingsworth Chair. Until her recent health decline, she remained an active member of the Sanctuary Choir and the Macedonia Mass Choir.
Louise was an original member of a singing group, The Trenton Gospelettes, for over 50 years. She touched many lives using her angelic voice with the other members traveling throughout the
United States. They performed on the Ed Sullivan Show in the group's earlier years.
She enjoyed watching all the shows an the ION TV channel and listening to VVIMG.
A loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend she leaves to cherish the memories of her life with her three nephews; Kevin Brown (Tina) of Baltimore, MD, William "Bill" Brown III
(Sheila) of Hamilton, NJ, Harold Kennedy Jr. of Philadelphia, PA, and Aunt Betty Kelly of Ewing, NJ. Louise had several great-nieces and nephews. Amongst them was her caregiver for the last few years, William "Will" Brown IV. Will would transport his Aunt Louise on her errands and monthly appointments. He selflessly moved in with his Great Aunt to care for her day in and day out. He
never missed a day of reading her the Daily Word. The relationship they shared was priceless. Also left to cherish her memories were countless family members, friends, and her church family.
Louise touched the lives of countless people of all ages and walks of life. She will truly be missed by all!
